Christian Home Educators' Support System (CHESS)
Lansing, Michigan · Meets in the greater Lansing area
CHESS has grown since 1993 from a handful of Lansing-area families sharing the load into a network of several hundred homeschool households. Members can sign up for academic co-op classes on Thursdays and enrichment on Fridays, plus field trips, a craft show, a family camp and a regional graduation. Each member family takes on one service area every year, and joining means agreeing to the group's statement of faith.
